One crypto analyst who says he successfully called several of the market’s biggest moves is now turning his attention to altcoins.

Javon Marks says he previously identified Bitcoin’s rise from around $17,000 to above $120,000, XRP’s move from roughly $0.50 to more than $3.30, Ethereum’s climb from the $1,200s toward $4,800, and Zcash’s explosive rally from the $30s.

Now he believes the next major opportunity could be altseason.

Marks argues that the coming rotation into altcoins could be one of the more notable altseasons yet, with multiple tokens potentially producing large percentage moves.

Is Altseason Really Close?

There is some evidence that the market has been moving in that direction, but the signal is far from confirmed.

Bitcoin dominance dropped below 60% in late September, reaching roughly 58.5%, while Glassnode’s Altcoin Cycle Signal climbed above 80 at the time. Those conditions pointed to stronger capital rotation away from Bitcoin and into other crypto assets.

However, the picture has weakened considerably since then.

I called $BTC from $17,000 to $120,000+ $XRP from $0.50 to $3.30+ $ZEC’s 5,000% move from the $30’s to ~$1,650+ $ETH from $1,200s to $4,800+ and, PLENTY PLENTY MORE 10Xs, 20Xs and SUCH. I AM COMING TO CALL THIS ALT SEASON WITH A BACKED REPUTATION OF HUGE CALLOUTS! Alt Season is looking like it’ll be another, and one of our most notable to date as it’ll capture many alt movements in the midst. We coming people…

The Altcoin Season Index stands at just 44 out of 100 on November 3. That means only 44% of the tracked altcoins have outperformed Bitcoin over the previous 90 days.

The reading was 61 only one week ago and 66 a month ago.

So Marks may be calling the beginning of altseason early rather than describing something that has already arrived.

The Market Is Still Missing One Key Ingredient

A true altseason normally requires broad participation.

It is not enough for a handful of coins such as XRP, ZEC or a few smaller tokens to outperform Bitcoin. Capital has to spread across a much larger portion of the market.

That breadth is not there yet.

Recent market weakness following the Binance hack has also made investors more selective, with Bitcoin and Ethereum generally holding up better than many smaller assets.

That can change quickly, though.

If Bitcoin stabilizes after its recent decline and dominance starts falling again, money could begin rotating into higher-risk altcoins. That is the environment Marks is betting on.

Marks’ Track Record Makes the Call Worth Watching

The important distinction is that Marks’ previous calls are claims from the analyst himself, not an independently audited forecasting record.

Still, the levels he cites are notable because XRP, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Zcash all eventually reached or exceeded the areas he says he had been targeting.

That gives his latest call more context than a generic “altseason is coming” prediction.

The market itself has not confirmed him yet.

With the Altcoin Season Index back at 44, Bitcoin still controls a large share of crypto market value and altcoin breadth has weakened.

But if BTC stabilizes and the index begins moving back toward the 75 level generally associated with a full altseason, Marks’ latest prediction could start looking much more interesting.

For now, he is making the call before the broader market has fully followed.
