Bitcoin briefly fell to about $75,700 during early U.S. midterm returns before recovering to roughly $76,700. U.S. stock futures and the dollar also moved lower as early vote counts focused attention on which party would control Congress.

BTC later traded about $1,000 above its reported low. The price move unfolded alongside shifts in other markets during the overnight election count.

The $75,700 level was also the 50-week moving-average level.
