The 61 Million-Share Transfer
At an Oct. 27 event at the New York Stock Exchange, Bullish CEO Tom Farley and Equiniti CEO Dan Kramer demonstrated the transfer of 61 million tokenized reserved Bullish shares on Solana, administered by Equiniti, which Bullish said completed in seconds.
Farley also showed how issuers could reward tokenized shareholders onchain by sending a digital Consensus pass to a shareholder's wallet. Bullish said it intends to offer the same capabilities on Aptos and Ethereum, and on other networks over time.
Bullish said the reserved shares earmark enough stock to close its $4.2 billion acquisition of Equiniti, a transfer agent, with the final amount set under the merger agreement. The deal is expected to close in January 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions.
