Digital financial services are changing how people manage their money.
The Digital Money panel at the Cedi Sense Conference 2026, scheduled for 1:05 PM to 1:55 PM at ESP Hotel in Accra, will bring together experts to discuss how individuals can use these tools to save, invest, protect their finances, and access global opportunities.
The panel, moderated by Sena Quashie, will feature Clinton Mbah, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Accrue; Dawuda Iddrisu, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SeevCash; and Ralph Gerbs, founder of CediRates.
The session forms part of the one-day financial literacy conference designed for individuals aged 21 to 40, under the theme “Building Wealth in the Digital Age”.
With mobile money now playing a major role in everyday financial transactions, the discussion will challenge participants to look beyond sending and receiving money and explore how digital platforms can support savings, investments, bill payments, and micro-insurance.
However, convenience also comes with risks. The experts will examine the growing use of digital loan applications, highlighting the importance of understanding interest rates, repayment conditions, contractual agreements, and app permissions before accepting loan offers.
The panel will also address online financial fraud, including Ponzi schemes, phishing, and unlicensed investment platforms. Participants will gain insights into recognising suspicious investment promises, protecting personal information, and understanding the channels available for reporting fraudulent activities and seeking assistance from the Bank of Ghana.
For freelancers, content creators, and businesses working with international clients, cross-border payments will be another important area of discussion. The conversation will explore how digital financial solutions can make receiving international payments easier while helping users navigate exchange rates.
The speakers bring considerable experience across financial technology, international payments, and digital assets.
Clinton Mbah, CEO of Accrue, leads a company developing a continent-wide stablecoin agent network aimed at making cross-border payments within Africa faster and more affordable.
Dawuda Iddrisu co-founded SeevCash after encountering difficulties opening a US bank account as a new arrival. The platform now provides African freelancers and businesses with virtual US accounts, consumer and corporate Visa cards, cross-border payment services, and savings tools. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer at BezoMoney and worked at Kotani Pay. He is a three-time Microsoft AI MVP and a graduate of the University for Development Studies.
Also joining the conversation is Ralph Gerbs, founder of CediRates, an exchange-rate comparison platform with 50,000 monthly users. He holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University, has built financial models for more than 20 start-ups, and has helped facilitate more than $12 million in funding for social-impact businesses. His professional experience also includes roles at Binance, Concordium, and Sending Network.
Through the Digital Money panel, Cedi Sense Conference 2026 seeks to equip young people with the knowledge to navigate the changing financial landscape, make informed decisions, and use technology not just to move money but to create lasting financial opportunities.
