The business data platform company COOCON(294570) said on the 6th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with blockchain infrastructure (infrastructure) company DSRV to cooperate on an on-chain (on-chain, network on the Blockchain) financial data interface (API, Application Programming Interface) and artificial intelligence (AI, Artificial Intelligence) agent payments.
The agreement was prepared to combine COOCON's data infrastructure capabilities with DSRV's Blockchain infrastructure capabilities to discover new financial data service models. COOCON plans to use this as an opportunity to expand its existing API business into the on-chain data domain and broaden its scope to API payments for AI agents.
The areas the two companies will review are APIs that provide information related to the distribution of stablecoins, such as payment, collection, and settlement. The core is to support financial institutions and companies so they can use functions such as â–² wallet balance and transaction history inquiry â–² deposit detection â–² confirmation of transaction finality â–² provision of settlement data, in a way similar to existing financial APIs without directly querying the Blockchain network.
COOCON will flesh out ways to provide on-chain data generated on the Blockchain in API form to financial institutions, Fintech firms, and corporate clients, while DSRV will handle the collection and processing of on-chain source data and technical integration based on a multi-chain node infrastructure that collects and processes data from multiple Blockchains.
The two companies will also cooperate in AI agent payments. COOCON will apply the x402 payment protocol to the data APIs it provides via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and link DSRV's wallet technology and Blockchain infrastructure. MCP refers to a set of rules that standardizes how AI models connect to external data.
x402 is an open protocol that processes stablecoin payments when an API is called. Applying it allows an AI agent to find the required API, call it, and pay usage fees immediately without separate sign-up or contracting procedures. COOCON plans to expand API users to AI agents and secure new distribution channels.
Going forward, the two companies will set up a joint working council and, as a first task, conduct a proof of concept (PoC) for AI agent API payment technology. The proof of concept will also establish security standards for the sections where on-chain data and payment information are linked between the two companies' systems.
Afterward, they plan to identify demand from individual and corporate customers for using stablecoins to jointly develop wallet management and utilization services, and expand cooperation into corporate cash management areas such as global cash management service (CMS, Cash Management Service).
