The one-hour count, compiled from public liquidation records for Binance, Bybit and OKX, was 9,369. Short positions totaled $4.48 million. The figures cover only Binance, Bybit and OKX, not the full crypto market.
Binance recorded the largest exchange total at $58.35 million, followed by OKX at $14.17 million and Bybit at $4.04 million. Bitcoin (BTC) had $19.55 million in liquidations, Ether (ETH) $12.84 million and Solana (SOL) $6.18 million.
Long positions benefit when prices rise, while short positions benefit when prices fall. The large share of liquidated longs means most of the positions closed during this hour were positioned for higher prices. The figures cover one hour of activity on three exchanges.
