Crypto markets saw $513 million in positions liquidated during a four-hour window ending at 10:16 a.m. ET Thursday (15:16 UTC), with long positions making up the bulk of the reported activity.

Long liquidations totaled $485 million, while short liquidations came to $28.33 million. The long-side figure was more than 17 times the short-side total, based on the reported amounts.

Bitcoin (BTC) had $154 million in liquidations over the same four hours, the largest asset-specific figure listed. Ether (ETH) followed at $82.17 million. Together, Bitcoin and Ether accounted for about $236 million of the roughly $513 million total, or about 46%. Bitcoin's liquidation figure was nearly double Ether's, a gap of $71.83 million.

The four-hour window provides a short-period market snapshot, rather than a full-day tally.
