Cryptocurrency markets closed Saturday evening's session in broadly negative territory, with smaller altcoins absorbing the heaviest losses while the two largest digital assets held relatively steady.

Bitcoin edged down 0.11% to $75,659.02, maintaining its position above the $75,000 threshold despite modest selling pressure. Ethereum similarly edged down 0.19% to $2,231.07, with both leading coins showing resilience compared to the wider market.

BNB provided a rare bright spot, inching higher by 0.21% to $694.54 and standing as the sole gainer among the eight tracked coins during the session.

The sharpest declines were concentrated in mid- and lower-cap assets. Cardano declined 1.64% to $0.18, matching Avalanche's fall of 1.62% to $8.20. XRP also declined 1.62% to $1.16. Dogecoin fell 1.47% to $0.07, while Solana fell 1.02% to $89.14.

The pattern across Saturday's evening session suggests a degree of risk-off sentiment filtering through the altcoin segment, even as Bitcoin and Ethereum largely absorbed the pressure without significant directional moves. Traders will be watching whether weekend illiquidity is amplifying these swings heading into the new week.
