Crypto political action committees were aligned with projected winners in 28 of 30 House races and one of four Senate races after spending $89.5 million since Sept. 1 on projected contests.

The outcome comparison used projections available as of 1:22 p.m. ET Nov. 4. The spending measure covers independent expenditures disseminated since Sept. 1 and included in 24- and 48-hour reports filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) by 1:13 p.m. ET Nov. 4. Reports for Nov. 1-3 could still arrive.

Of the $89.5 million spent across those races, $21.9 million, or 24.4%, was tied to projected winners. Protect Progress was aligned with projected winners in nine of nine races where it spent; Defend American Jobs in 16 of 17; Fairshake in four of six; and Digital Freedom Fund in none of three.

The special Senate race in Ohio accounted for $64.05 million, or 94.7% of the $67.66 million spent on projected losing sides. Defend American Jobs and Digital Freedom Fund spent to support Republican Jon Husted and oppose Democrat Sherrod Brown, who was projected to win.

In Nebraska, Defend American Jobs spent $13.48 million opposing independent Dan Osborn, while Republican Pete Ricketts was projected to win. Digital Freedom Fund also opposed Democrats James Talarico in Texas and Josh Turek in Iowa; both were projected winners.

Fairshake spent about $1 million in October on each of six House incumbents who voted for the Clarity Act in 2025. Reps. Bryan Steil and Bill Huizenga were projected to lose to Democrats Mitchell Berman and Sean McCann, respectively. House Financial Services Committee Chair French Hill was projected to win by 1.8 percentage points.

This broader tally covers four crypto PACs and more projected races than TokenPost’s earlier review of 12 competitive races, which included crypto and AI interests. The two counts cover different groups and contests, so their totals measure different scopes.
