CryptoBoost’s founder counted Nov. 5 as day 396 of the current bear market in Bitcoin (BTC), marking Oct. 6, 2025, as its start. The founder compared that duration with a 391-day average time to bear-market lows across cycles since 2014.
The founder estimated the current cycle’s drawdown at about 53%. In the founder’s comparison, peak-to-trough declines were about 86% in 2014, 84% in 2018 and 77% in 2022.
The founder suggested that broader participation by spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, companies and funds may have helped limit the current decline. The founder said the duration comparison alone does not confirm that the bear market has ended.
For a clearer change in trend, the founder said Bitcoin would need to regain the $80,000 to $82,000 range and remain above it.
