Crypto traders saw $873 million in crypto contracts liquidated over four hours, with about 91% of the total coming from long positions, showing liquidations were heavily skewed toward long positions.
Long positions represented $793 million of the four-hour total, while shorts made up $79.94 million. That puts long-side liquidations at about 90.8% and short-side liquidations at about 9.2% of the combined amount. The long-side total was $713.06 million higher, or nearly 10 times the short-side total.
Over 24 hours, liquidations reached $1.05 billion and affected about 203,500 traders. The largest single liquidation was a $10.94 million position on Binance's ETH/USDT trading pair.
The four-hour amount equaled about 83% of the 24-hour figure, concentrating most of the reported liquidation value in that shorter window.
Bitcoin (BTC) touched a 24-hour low of $75,558.30 and was down 5.08% over the period; Ether (ETH) was down 6.93% over the same 24-hour period.
