What Moves the LRC Price

  • No working product: Loopring closed its wallet app, its DeFi products and, on 29 June 2026, its exchange and layer 2. No Loopring service uses LRC today, so trading in the token is all that sets its price.
  • Exchange delistings: Binance stopped all LRC spot trading on 1 April 2026, and Coinbase shows LRC as delisted (checked 29 October 2026). Fewer large venues can mean thinner liquidity, and in a thin market larger orders move the price further.
  • Where trading happens now: on 29 October 2026 LRC traded on 35 markets. The largest by 24-hour volume were BitDelta, BtcTurk, LBank, Toobit and OKX; Kraken and KuCoin also trade it.
  • The wider market: LRC is a token on Ethereum, and like most small tokens it can move with the broader crypto market and with the Ethereum price.
  • News about the shutdown: announcements about Loopring's closure, the team's distribution of deposited assets, or further exchange listings and delistings can all change how LRC trades.

LRC Price History and All-Time High

LRC launched as a token on Ethereum in 2017, and Loopring's zkRollup went live on Ethereum in December 2019. The token reached its all-time high on 10 November 2021. These are the prices for the dates that matter since then:

Between its high for the past year on 31 January 2026 and 29 October 2026, LRC fell about 91%. Over the full year to 29 October 2026 it was down about 87.7%, and over the last 30 days about 19.1%.

What Loopring Was and How It Worked

Loopring was a layer 2 protocol on Ethereum built for trading. Starting in 2017, it ran a decentralized exchange, AMM pools, NFT support, a smart wallet app and DeFi products on its own network, then shut them down between June 2025 and June 2026. LRC, the Loopring crypto token, is what remains on the market.

The zkRollup Exchange

  • Batches with a proof: trades and transfers ran on Loopring's layer 2 and were settled on Ethereum in batches, each with a zero-knowledge proof that the batch was valid (L2BEAT). This design is called a zkRollup; our guide compares zk-rollups and optimistic rollups.
  • First of its kind, by its own account: Loopring says it delivered "the first ZK-Rollup implementation to scale Ethereum" (Loopring).
  • The launch dates: Loopring Protocol 3.0, with order-book trading, went live on Ethereum mainnet on 4 December 2019, and WeDEX was the first exchange built on it. Loopring's own exchange followed on 27 February 2020, AMM pools on 2 December 2020 and NFTs on 24 August 2021 (L2BEAT).
  • Wallet and DeFi: Loopring also built a smart contract wallet app and DeFi products called Dual Investment, Portal, Block Trade and ETH Staking, all of which closed in 2025.

What LRC Is For Today

LRC is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, the token of the Loopring protocol. It was never the fee or gas token of a chain of its own. With every Loopring product closed, there is no Loopring-run way to stake LRC or earn with it, and LRC is not a proof-of-stake coin. Today it is a token that trades on exchanges and sits in Ethereum wallets, with no operating project behind it. For comparison, UNI is the token of another exchange protocol on Ethereum.

LRC Supply

On 29 October 2026 there were 1,373,873,397 LRC in existence, all of it circulating, against a maximum supply of 1,374,513,896. The Blockscout explorer showed the same 1,373,873,397 LRC on the original Ethereum contract, spread across about 165,680 holder addresses.

  • Market capitalization: because the whole supply already circulates, LRC's market capitalization is its price multiplied by that full supply.
  • Bridged copies: bridged versions of LRC exist on Arbitrum One and Energi. They are separate token contracts, not the same token as LRC on Ethereum.

How Loopring Shut Down, 2024 to 2026

  • 24 April 2024: an attacker compromised Loopring's operator accounts and took the team's own assets, according to Loopring's incident report.
  • 9 June 2024: Loopring's two-factor authentication server was compromised. The attacker used the wallet recovery process to take over 58 of Loopring's "40,000+" smart wallets and drained them, the same report says.
  • 28 May 2025: Loopring announced that its smart wallet app "will no longer be accessible after June 30th, 2025", and said assets stayed in each wallet's smart contract.
  • 31 July 2025: Loopring closed its DeFi products, Dual Investment, Portal, Block Trade and ETH Staking, and stopped all its services on Taiko and Base. It said then that its layer 2 would "continue to operate as usual".
  • End of August 2025: Loopring's chief executive stepped down after "more than three years", writing in a Loopring blog post that scaling the business "proved challenging".
  • 28 and 29 June 2026: Loopring announced the end of its exchange on 28 June. On 29 June an upgrade to the exchange contract stopped normal operation, and deposits were no longer accepted (L2BEAT). L2BEAT records that the Loopring team planned to send deposited assets directly to users; on 10 July the distribution was extended to send NFTs in batches.
  • After the shutdown: Loopring's website read: "Loopring Has Shut Down. After years of building at the frontier of zero-knowledge technology, Loopring is no longer operational." L2BEAT lists the project as archived. By 29 October 2026 Loopring's old web addresses no longer led to Loopring: two of them did not resolve and a third showed an unrelated gambling page.

Latest Loopring News: Exchange Listings

  • 29 October 2026, still trading: Kraken's LRC/USD pair was online, OKX's LRC-USDT pair was live and KuCoin's LRC-USDT pair had trading enabled, according to each exchange's public market data.
  • 29 October 2026, Coinbase: Coinbase's market data showed LRC-USD as delisted, with trading disabled.
  • 29 October 2026, other venues: Upbit's market list had no LRC market, Bithumb answered that LRC is not a listed coin, Gemini had no LRC pair, and Binance.US showed its LRC pairs with trading halted.
  • 1 April 2026, Binance: Binance stopped trading on all LRC spot pairs at 03:00 UTC. Its notice of 18 March 2026 named eight tokens, including Loopring (LRC), and said the decision followed its periodic reviews, which weigh factors such as the team's commitment, development activity, and trading volume and liquidity. It did not say which factors applied to LRC.

Where LRC Trades and How It Is Stored

As of 29 October 2026, Bitcoin.com doesn't sell LRC or buy it back. LRC isn't among the coins on our buy and sell pages, and neither of the payment partners behind them, Onramper and MoonPay, offered an LRC quote when we checked.

Exchanges

On 29 October 2026 these exchanges listed LRC in their public market data or in market-wide listings:

  • Kraken: LRC/USD and LRC/EUR.
  • OKX, KuCoin, Bybit, Gate and MEXC: LRC/USDT.
  • Bitvavo: LRC/EUR.
  • BtcTurk and Paribu: LRC quoted in Turkish lira.
  • Smaller venues: the rest of the 35 markets, a count that also includes a Uniswap V2 pool on Ethereum.

Which exchanges you can use depends on where you live; our exchange directory compares exchanges in general.

Storing LRC

LRC is an ERC-20 token, so you can receive it at an Ethereum address you control. The Bitcoin.com Wallet supports the Ethereum (ERC-20) network, but its support article (updated 29 August 2026) doesn't name LRC: check that LRC is listed under Funds → Receive before sending. For larger amounts, a hardware wallet keeps your keys offline, and our guide to self-custodial wallets explains how they work.

  • Before you send: use the Ethereum network on both sides. Bridged LRC on Arbitrum One or Energi is a different token contract.
  • Fees: keep a little ETH in the wallet to pay Ethereum network fees; you can buy ETH for that.
  • Claims and recovery offers: treat any website or message offering Loopring "claims" or "recovery" with caution.

LRC Price Predictions

No bank, broker or research firm we checked publishes a price forecast for LRC (29 October 2026), and Bitcoin.com doesn't publish targets either. The "Loopring price prediction" pages found online are generated by algorithms or AI, and nobody is accountable for them. With no operating project behind the token, the things that can move LRC are exchange listings and delistings, news about Loopring's distribution of deposited assets, and the broader crypto market.

Risks of Holding LRC

  • No operating project: Loopring says it "is no longer operational", and no Loopring product uses LRC.
  • Delistings and thin trading: Binance and Coinbase no longer trade LRC, and other exchanges can delist it too. Lower liquidity can mean wider spreads and bigger price moves on larger orders.
  • Volatility: on 29 October 2026 LRC was about 99.78% below its 2021 all-time high, and it set its all-time low on 19 August 2026. Our guide explains volatility.
  • Past security incidents: in 2024 attackers compromised Loopring's operator accounts and its two-factor authentication server, and 58 smart wallets were drained, according to Loopring.
  • Bridged copies and old addresses: bridged LRC on other networks is a different contract, and Loopring's old web addresses no longer lead to Loopring.
