The launch will establish Russia's first organised digital currency market under recently adopted Law No. 282-FZ.

The exchange will initially conduct pilot transactions while gradually connecting financial market participants.

Eligible retail investors can purchase digital currencies after passing a suitability test, subject to a 300,000-rouble annual limit.

Trading will run from 6:50 am to 11:50 pm Moscow time, matching the exchange's stock market schedule.

The initial market will support Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Tether (USDT) through addressed and non-addressed trading modes.

Moscow Exchange will integrate transactions into the National Clearing Centre's unified clearing system and offer currency swaps.

The launch marks a shift towards regulated digital currency trading within Russia's traditional financial market infrastructure.
