Prices of major virtual assets are rising on news of progress in peace talks between the United States and Iran.
At 8:23 a.m. on the 4th, on CoinMarketCap, a global virtual asset market tracking site, Bitcoin was trading at $77,821, up 1.45% from 24 hours earlier. Over the same period, Ethereum rose 1.76% to $2,288.69, and XRP (Ripple) climbed 2.48% to $1.27.
Qatar, which is mediating the resumption of peace talks between the United States and Iran, said there has been progress in indirect talks between the two sides. Majed Al Ansari, Qatar Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, said in a statement on the 3rd (local time) that "work is underway to narrow the current differences, and there is clear progress in dialogue between the two sides."
However, Iran is reportedly inclined not to accept what it sees as excessive demands from the U.S. side.
