RealFi is targeting a December 1 Ethereum mainnet launch while exploring a possible XRP Ledger expansion.
RealFi plans to launch on Ethereum mainnet on December 1, according to a Cardano-focused host reviewing the project’s expansion plans. The Angry Crypto Show puts the move at the center of a broader question: whether Cardano-originated financial products can attract users and liquidity beyond their home network.
The host cites Token Terminal data showing RealFi has surpassed $121.7 million in asset transfer volume on Cardano. That figure measures transfers, not deposits or total value locked. The transcript does not specify the year of the planned Ethereum launch.
Ethereum comes first. XRP Ledger remains a conversation.
In remarks quoted from an interview with David Gokhshtein, RealFi CEO John O’Connor argues that stablecoins keep growing because they serve a practical purpose: moving stable-value money across borders. He identifies yield-bearing products as the fastest-growing part of that business.

An XRP Ledger expansion is less definite. O’Connor points to the network’s high fully diluted valuation and relatively limited DeFi activity as reasons to explore an integration.
“That’s a conversation we’re kicking off to see whether there’s value for us to come over there,” he says, according to the transcript. No launch date, partnership agreement or technical implementation is announced.
The host sees a potential exchange: Cardano-originated products could gain access to XRP users and liquidity, while offering additional financial functionality. That is the commentator’s investment thesis, not evidence of committed demand.
Utility faces a tougher market test
The video also reports that more than $450,000 worth of bitcoin had been supplied to Cardano’s Strike Finance within eight days of its integration of a bitcoin collateral asset. The figure offers another adoption signal, though the transcript provides no longer-term comparison.
Regulation occupies much of the discussion. Charles Hoskinson is quoted arguing that crypto must demonstrate uses beyond speculation and presenting Midnight’s privacy and identity capabilities as tools for operating in regulated markets. His political forecasts and assertions about ADA’s regulatory status remain opinions, not legal determinations.
Whether RealFi delivers its announced Ethereum launch, secures integrations and attracts sustained usage. An XRP Ledger expansion could broaden distribution, but O’Connor’s qualification matters – the project wants wider access only where the numbers justify it.
