Strategy buys 811 Bitcoin (BTC▲$77,747.00) for about $65.5 million while spending $208.2 million repurchasing STRC preferred shares, according to transactions disclosed November 2. The company put more than three times as much into the preferred-share buyback as into its latest Bitcoin acquisition.

The allocation keeps Strategy accumulating BTC while directing substantially more money toward retiring preferred equity. Its latest common-stock sale also supplied cash beyond what it spent on Bitcoin.

Strategy’s Bitcoin Holdings Reach 849,327 BTC

Strategy acquired the coins between October 26 and November 1 at an average price of $80,846 each. The purchase lifted its holdings to 849,327 BTC, accumulated for roughly $64.1 billion at an average cost of $75,451 per Bitcoin.

The latest acquisition price was above the average cost of its overall holdings. Strategy continued adding exposure, but the larger STRC transaction shows that buying coins was only one part of its capital allocation that week.

MSTR Share Sales Funded Bitcoin and Added Cash

Strategy sold about 1.18 million MSTR common shares for approximately $164 million in net proceeds. It allocated $65.5 million to Bitcoin and the remaining $98.5 million to its USD Cash balance.

That left the larger portion of the common-stock proceeds in cash. As of November 1, the company held $132.7 million in USD Cash alongside a separate $4.79 billion US dollar reserve.

The Bitcoin acquisition was therefore funded through MSTR common-stock sales. The $208.2 million STRC repurchase was a separate capital-allocation decision involving preferred shares.

STRC Buybacks Were Already Outpacing Bitcoin Purchases

The latest spending followed approximately $664 million of STRC repurchases between October 1 and October 25. Bitcoin acquisitions over that same period totaled about $72 million.

Strategy’s policy bars new STRC issuance below $100. The preferred shares traded at $99.22 in November 2 premarket trading, leaving that funding channel constrained while the price remained below the threshold.

That matters for continued accumulation: Strategy had relied heavily on preferred issuance earlier in the year, but the latest Bitcoin purchase drew on common equity instead. The company still had about $18.6 billion available under its MSTR at-the-market program.

Financing Terms Will Shape Strategy’s Next Purchases

Strategy’s third-quarter net income reached $19.5 billion, including a $20.9 billion operating gain tied to Bitcoin’s quarterly price increase. That fair-value accounting gain was unrealized; it did not supply cash for new purchases.

Preferred-share payments are also changing. Shareholders approved daily dividend accrual for STRF, STRC, STRK and STRD, including weekends and holidays, with 99.3% of votes cast in favor. Dividend rates and total obligations would remain unchanged.

Implementation was expected to begin in November 2026 for STRC and January 2027 for the other three securities, subject to board approval and regulatory filings.

The next filings will show whether common-stock proceeds continue supporting both Bitcoin purchases and cash accumulation, and whether STRC returns to its issuance threshold. Strategy is still buying BTC, but financing costs and preferred-share retirements remain central to the economics of that accumulation.
