Strategy's STRC preferred stock now pays declared regular dividends on each business day instead of twice a month, according to the company's SEC prospectus supplement. The first daily payment date was Monday, November 3, 2026, and the rate for November is set at 12.00% a year.
The change came through an amended STRC certificate of designations. Shareholders approved it at a special meeting on October 28. Strategy filed the document in Delaware on October 29, and it became effective on November 1.
What 12% Means at the Current Price
STRC has a stated amount of $100 per share, and the 12.00% annual rate applies to the calendar month from November 1 through November 30. On the stated amount, that rate works out to $12 a share over a full year, or about $1 a share for November.
The shares trade close to that $100 mark. STRC last sold at $99.13 on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on October 30, the filing shows. That is 0.87% below the stated amount. A buyer at that price would collect the same dollar dividend on a slightly smaller outlay, a yield of about 12.1% on the purchase price.
The daily schedule does not change how much a holder earns over the month at a given rate. It changes how often the cash arrives: roughly every trading day instead of twice a month.
Supply and the Open Question on Rate Resets
The same filing covers an at-the-market offering of up to $21 billion of STRC shares. That is a programme under which Strategy can sell new shares into the market over time. More daily-paying STRC can reach the market through that channel, and the filing sets the cap at $21 billion.
The filing confirms the 12.00% rate for November and shows that the rate is set for a monthly period. How Strategy will set the rate from December onward, and whether that adjustment is meant to hold STRC near its $100 stated amount, is not confirmed here.
The filing also covers STRC only. Whether Strategy's other preferred stocks will switch to daily payments has not been confirmed in a primary document.
The move follows a period of active management of the STRC share count, including when Strategy paused bitcoin buying and retired $205 million of STRC. The next fixed point for holders is the December rate, which will show how Strategy prices STRC once the November period ends on November 30.
