Thailand plans to block Bitget on Dec. 5 while the platform’s proposed purchase of a licensed Thai exchange remains subject to approval. The plan places a restriction on the calendar as the acquisition process remains unresolved.
While navigating Thai regulatory procedures, GMO Internet rescheduled the proposed share transfer for Nov. 30. The revised date is five days before Thailand’s planned block of Bitget.
The transfer and the planned block are separate pending steps. The proposed acquisition still awaits approval, and a revised share transfer date alone does not establish that the sale will close. The new schedule puts the seller’s transfer date first, followed by Thailand’s planned action five days later. Nov. 30 is the planned transfer date; Dec. 5 is the date set for the Bitget block. Both milestones remain planned under the current schedule, with the transaction still awaiting approval.
