TRON’s network activity keeps growing, and cumulative transaction volume exceeded $30 trillion in the third quarter of 2026.
Even with this growth, TRX is finding it difficult to climb back to higher price levels, as derivatives activity slows and technical indicators signal persistent selling pressure.

As of press time, TRON price is trading at $0.3171, down 0.91%, per the supplied TradingView chart. The token is still trading below its key moving averages, which raises doubts about whether rising network adoption can fuel a recovery.

Why Is TRON Price Struggling Even as the Network Grows?
TRON DAO’s Q3 2026 report states that the blockchain’s cumulative transaction volume passed $30 trillion, underscoring its expanding role in digital asset transfers.
Stablecoin settlement totaled $2.2126 trillion for the quarter, up 5.1% from the prior quarter. The combined supply of USDT and USDD also rose 5.5% to $93.88 billion, while average monthly active addresses grew 9.8% to 18 million.
These numbers show that demand for TRON’s payment and stablecoin infrastructure remains strong, although transaction frequency remained broadly unchanged during the quarter. During Q3, the network also recorded $28.21 billion in total value locked, including staking, while DeFi-only TVL stood at $13.05 billion.
TRON DAO described the trend by stating that “transaction frequency held steady,” highlighting the network’s ability to maintain transaction activity alongside expanding stablecoin settlement.
Yet despite these developments, stronger network activity has not produced an immediate rebound in TRX. This gap implies that traders are still weighing broader market conditions and token demand instead of responding to network growth on its own.

How Does CoinGlass Open Interest Influence TRON Price?
CoinGlass‘s open interest chart reveals a marked rise in derivatives positioning near the end of October. Open interest rose to about $420 million around October 31 and then dropped toward $310 million by November 5.
This ensuing decline suggests that some derivatives positions were closed following the sharp market movement. Falling open interest combined with softer prices may point to diminished participation in the derivatives market, though on its own it does not prove that traders are turning bearish.
The liquidation chart likewise shows heavy activity on both sides near October 31 and November 1. Such spikes underscore the volatility that surrounded TRX over this stretch and imply that leveraged traders came under significant strain.

What Does the TradingView Chart Reveal About TRON Price?
Tron price is changing hands beneath both its 50-day moving average of $0.3336 and its 200-day moving average of $0.3323. With both averages sitting above the current price, the wider daily trend remains under pressure.
The $0.3298 zone is a key nearby level that needs to be reclaimed, whereas $0.3409 appears as a higher resistance level on the chart provided.
The On-Balance Volume (OBV) indicator sits near 140 billion and has fallen back from its previous peaks. This indicates that buying pressure has faded in tandem with the latest price drop.
A sustained break above the moving averages might brighten the recovery prospects. In the meantime, the technical picture still calls for caution.
Can TRON Price Recover Above $0.34?
To the downside, the $0.30 zone is a key area to watch, given how price recently reacted around that level. A sustained break beneath it might leave TRX exposed to additional selling pressure.
To the upside, reclaiming $0.3298 would serve as an early signal of strengthening momentum. A more decisive rebound above the moving averages could shift attention to the $0.3409 resistance.
TRON’s growing network activity offers a supportive fundamental backdrop, yet derivatives positioning and technical indicators have not yet confirmed a bullish reversal.
Market participants will be watching to see whether buyers can hold the $0.30 zone and lift TRX back above its moving averages. Cryptocurrency markets stay highly volatile, and before making investment decisions traders should keep an eye on price action, market sentiment, and upcoming catalysts.
