US spot XRP ETFs held 1,196.54 million XRP against $1,470.41 million in net assets in the XRP Insights tracker's latest reading. That reading carries fund flows through 5 November 2026. On the question a first-anniversary review has to answer, whether flows led the price or followed it, the year points one way. The funds kept taking net inflows while the token fell, so they ended up holding more XRP for fewer dollars.
The first spot fund's anniversary falls on 13 November 2026. The group's headline dollar figures are contested and do not reconcile across every window. The record worth keeping is the issuer-by-issuer one, counted in XRP rather than in dollars, with a date on each reading.

The first two rows are the same fund on purpose. Bitwise's own fund page and the tracker agree on both the token count and the dollar value. That is the check that makes the rest of the tracker's readings worth quoting. The tracker also shows the price it values those holdings at, $1.17, and the share of XRP supply the funds hold, 1.1965%.
Bitwise and Franklin Templeton are the two funds whose issuer-level holdings are quotable from a page that could be checked. Individual tallies for the other five funds were not in the material available, so the group line above carries them.
From REX-Osprey to Franklin Templeton: A Year of Launch Dates
- 18 September 2025: REX-Osprey's XRPR, offering the earliest spot exposure, is already live.
- 13 November 2025: Canary Capital's XRPC debuts on Nasdaq and becomes the most successful ETF launch of 2025 by first-day trading volume across any asset class, not just crypto, per Ripple's review of the market.
- 20 November 2025: Bitwise's XRP ETF launches on NYSE under the ticker XRP, with a 0.34% management fee waived for the first month on the first $500 million in assets.
- 24 November 2025: Grayscale's GXRP lists on NYSE Arca. Franklin Templeton's XRPZ and 21Shares' TOXR follow, with no dates given in the same account.
- 16 December 2025: Cumulative US spot XRP ETF inflows pass $1 billion, the fastest for any digital asset since Ethereum's ETF launch.
- Early March 2026: Cumulative inflows pass $1.50 billion, with over 769 million XRP in custody.
- 6 October 2026: Net assets for the group peak at around $1.70 billion.
- 13 November 2026: The first spot fund marks its first anniversary.
The wave of listings came after the SEC introduced generic listing standards for commodity-based crypto ETPs, compressing what had been a 240-day individual review into roughly 75 days, with XRP needing six months of regulated futures seasoning, again per Ripple's review.
Why $1.81 Billion In Sits Beside $1.42 Billion Held
Two different things get compared here, and they only match when the price is flat. Cumulative net inflows are the dollars added since launch. Net assets are the XRP held multiplied by the current price. Add tokens and the first number rises; move the price and only the second one moves.
By 30 October 2026, cumulative net inflows stood at $1.81 billion against $1.42 billion in total net assets, per SoSoValue-based reporting. The token count tells the same story from another direction: Ripple's review put holdings above 769 million XRP by early March 2026, and the tracker's latest count is 1,196.54 million. Buyers kept adding; the price did the subtracting.
The tracker's own price line reads $1.17. XRP closed at $2.32 on the day the first fund launched. Even Bitwise's paperwork records the slide: the fund's quarterly report attributed its nine-month investment loss mainly to its pricing benchmark falling from $1.8177 on 31 December 2025 to $1.4912 on 30 September 2026. That fund pays its sponsor 0.34% a year of its XRP holdings, in XRP, monthly in arrears. It had 37,260,000 shares outstanding as of 1 November 2026.
One caveat that matters if you are quoting a single number: the inflow and asset figures do not reconcile cleanly across sources for the same window. The flows page those figures trace back to, SoSoValue's, sat behind a bot check and could not be read directly. Treat the direction as settled and the last digit as not.
The Week XRP Funds Were the Only Buyers
In the week leading up to 30 October 2026, XRP funds attracted $4.3 million and were the only significant spot crypto fund group with inflows, while Bitcoin ETFs saw $203 million out, Ethereum $432 million and Solana $72 million, per SoSoValue-based reporting. That split between XRP and Solana flows is not the first of the autumn.
Inside that week, 29 October was the best day at about $8.4 million added, and 26 October the worst at roughly $3.6 million withdrawn. On some days the funds registered zero net flows even as their shares kept trading.
The tracker's XRP-denominated table shows the same shape in a different unit: +6.40 million XRP on 29 October, +174.1K on 28 October, -433.9K on 27 October, -2.70 million on 26 October and -1.81 million on 23 October. As the tracker defines it, a day's flow is the change in each fund's reported XRP holdings against the previous trading day, measured in XRP rather than estimated from dollar figures; its flow line covers the six spot funds plus BITW, while its holdings table counts seven ETFs.
Goldman Sachs Is the Largest Known Institutional Holder
In March 2026, Goldman Sachs disclosed a $153.8 million position in spot XRP ETFs through its Q4 2025 13F filing, making it the single largest known institutional holder of XRP ETF shares in the United States. The allocation is spread across Bitwise's XRP ETF at about $40 million, Franklin Templeton's XRPZ at $38.5 million, Grayscale's GXRP at $38 million and 21Shares' TOXR at $36 million. Of the top 30 institutional holders, who collectively control just over $211 million of XRP ETF exposure, Goldman accounts for roughly 73%.
What Would Change the Answer
The anniversary on 13 November 2026 is the next date on the calendar, and the data to watch after it is the same data that answered the question this time: XRP held per fund, not dollars. If reported holdings start falling across several weeks rather than one, that is redemption, and it would be the first real evidence of money leaving rather than a price moving. On the current record, holdings have only gone up.
A price recovery would confuse the picture in the other direction. If XRP traded back at the $1.8177 benchmark the Bitwise fund used on 31 December 2025, net assets would rise without a single new dollar arriving, and the inflow-versus-assets gap would close on its own.
Two things would sharpen the record. A readable print of SoSoValue's flows page would settle whether $1.81 billion is the right cumulative total for the 30 October window and end the mismatch against net assets. And a per-issuer daily flow table would settle the attribution disputes that currently leave single-day splits unreliable: an October account put Bitwise's figure for the week ended 9 October in the week, while SoSoValue-based reports put the same amount in the single session of 6 October, and Franklin's XRPZ shows as a positive for the week in one account against a negative on the day in the other. Until one of those tables can be read, the group totals are safe to quote and the issuer-level daily lines are not.
