XRP Social Media Spam is increasingly becoming a problem, with negative talk about the digital currency hitting its worst sentiment since July.

According to crypto analyst Ali Martinez, the negative sentiment has dropped, while David Schwartz, the former CTO of Ripple and one of the creators of the XRP Ledger, has revealed his intention to block those posting unrelated replies and accusations under his posts on X.
Both these factors point towards increasing difficulties in the XRP ecosystem. While the negativity is impacting the cryptocurrency’s image on the Internet, according to Martinez, the prevailing pessimism may lead to price recovery.

XRP Social Media Spam Adds to Growing Negative Sentiment
The crypto analyst Ali Martinez has recently pointed out that the sentiment on XRP on social media has dropped to its lowest point since July. This means that the online sentiment about the cryptocurrency has been quite negative.
But according to Martinez, such extreme negativity may help the cryptocurrency. Many times, the market turns around when the sentiment is negative, and everyone expects a drop in prices.
The rising issue of XRP Social Media Spam also stems from the difficulties involved in discussions related to the cryptocurrency. The continuous stream of negative remarks, insults, and irrelevant responses makes it difficult for people to participate in meaningful discussions.
Another technical pattern that Martinez noticed is the potential inverse head-and-shoulders formation on the price chart of XRP. This pattern is generally linked to a possible bullish reversal after a long downtrend.
Martinez pointed out that the neckline of the pattern stands at $1.60, whereby any potential break may see it move towards $2.10. Nonetheless, XRP is still trading below the neckline amid growing bearish sentiment.
David Schwartz Addresses XRP Social Media Spam on X
David Schwartz has made some remarks regarding the increasing trend of getting unrelated replies to his discussion on X. He stated that users frequently reply to other people’s posts with insults, accusations, and allegations of his being a scammer, despite the conversation not having anything to do with crypto.
As reported by Schwartz, such replies also have an impact on the people with whom he engages in discussion and may lead to him being blocked by them due to undesirable replies. In order to tackle the problem, Schwartz stated that he would block the users who send such replies irrespective of whether they are negative or positive.
Schwartz added that he was open to receiving any kind of criticism when done in relevant discussions only. Moreover, he is willing to unblock users who agree not to post irrelevant replies in exchange for doing this.
X Tests New Features to Reduce Social Media Spam
The XRP Social Media Spam is just another example of the attempts made by X to make its conversations more productive and high-quality.
In March 2026, the company launched the reply downvote test aimed at allowing users to recognize and minimize the number of low-quality replies. Reporting functions included options to report spam, misleading posts, and generated content.
X product head Nikita Bier has been voicing her discontent regarding the reply ranking on the platform, pointing out possible problems.
It shows that increasing the quality of conversations is still one of the challenges for the company. Spam, irrelevant replies, and personal attacks could negatively influence any discussion on the platform in any community, including cryptocurrency.
For XRP, the combination of negative social sentiment and Schwartz’s warnings indicates two challenges for its online community. As XRP Social Media Spam is currently causing frustration among celebrities and other users, Martinez believes that negativity may be the chance for the company to get a new market opportunity.
Still, the sentiment alone will not prove that the trend is reversed. The price needs to break the neckline at $1.60 for the positive technical picture to be confirmed.
