KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia ended higher, with the FBM KLCI gaining 1.19 per cent, or 19.30 points, to close at 1,635.86.
The gains followed the US midterm election results, with the Democrats' control of Congress expected to provide greater checks and balances on the Trump administration, potentially encouraging a more cautious approach to policymaking.
On the currency front, the ringgit strengthened against the US dollar to close at 4.0450.
Meanwhile, cryptocurrencies traded lower, with Bitcoin hovering at RM325,295, while Ethereum stood at RM9,773.
That's it for Market Pulse.
