Open USD (OUSD), Open Standard’s dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Bridge, reached a market capitalization of $888 million by Nov. 4, putting the token $112 million short of $1 billion.

An earlier seven-day snapshot of Tempo’s stablecoin market found that OUSD accounted for nearly two-thirds of the total.

USDC took 636 days to grow from a $1 million market capitalization to $1 billion. The figures do not provide a like-for-like growth comparison: no starting market capitalization is given for OUSD, while the USDC interval begins at $1 million.

Open Standard launched OUSD for businesses and developers with fee-free minting and redemption at a 1:1 rate against the dollar. Bridge issues the token, and its reserves are held by BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY Mellon.
