The USDC price remains close to its one-dollar target as a planned change in European supervision approaches. On November 4, Investing.com displayed USDC at 1.0014 USD at 09:31:32 Berlin time, with a 24-hour volume of 11.77 billion USD, a market capitalization of 70.99 billion USD and a rank of 6. The page showed a daily range of 1.0012 to 1.0014 USD and a 52-week range of 0.9991 to 1.0023 USD. These figures are from the Investing.com USDC market page.

MiCA supervision changes in November

The European Banking Authority classified USDC as the European Union's first significant e-money token under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation on October 14. According to the EBA's press release, dual supervision will begin on November 12. The EBA will assume direct responsibility for own funds, reserves, liquidity requirements, and recovery and redemption plans. France's ACPR will retain responsibility for governance, qualifying holdings, fit-and-proper assessments, outsourcing and conflicts of interest.

This is a supervisory change affecting the EU issuer rather than a redesign of the token. For holders and payment users, the immediate investment relevance is that reserve and redemption oversight will sit within a more explicitly shared European framework. It does not create a new price catalyst comparable to an equity earnings event, and USDC remains designed to maintain a stable value rather than deliver speculative growth.

Payments adoption remains the next test

A separate development concerns the use of USDC in existing payment infrastructure. On October 27, ACI Worldwide and Circle announced a collaboration to demonstrate USDC settlement alongside traditional payment systems, initially focusing on Colombia. The companies said the initiative uses ACI Connetic and Circle's USDC infrastructure to explore how stablecoin settlement could work with Colombia's Bre-B instant-payments ecosystem. The announcement describes an evaluation and demonstration, not a broad production rollout or proof of measured cost savings.

Circle says USDC is redeemable one-for-one for US dollars and backed by highly liquid cash and cash-equivalent assets. Its USDC overview reported 71.0 billion USDC in circulation as of October 26, 2026. Against that backdrop, the USDC price is best read as a measure of peg stability, while the more material longer-term questions concern reserve transparency, regulatory execution and whether payment pilots become live institutional flows.
